First off, I'd like to apologize for using "we" throughout this site. Right now the company is only one person! However, it cannot remain that way much longer.
I've spent the last 16 months working on Singularity FPS, with the goal of making it the first, flagship product for my company.
Before that, I spent ten years at Larson Software Technology, a small unix and Windows software company specializing in an open standard graphic format used heavily
in the E&P and aerospace industries. I started off as a tech support guy (my first real job out of college) for the first several years. The last six years I was the sales manager. All long the way, in this tiny company, I did what can only be classified
as "product management". It was an invaluable experience to be involved in almost all aspects of making software--from inception, to maintenance, to end-of-life. It's a great little company packed with talented people!
But we all have to move on. I left LST in August 2006 to work on Singularity FPS full time. I've been the sole producer, artist, coder, tester, etc. during this period.
Happily, now we're at the stage of having something to show! There are technical and artistic issues that need the eye of an expert in those areas, whereas my only specialty
is knowing a little bit about everything (enough to be dangerous :-) ). I have to say that I think the key aspect of a successful software company is having someone who can make things happen--a driving force of will, if you like.
That's me, the driver, the will. Having a room full of programmers and artists is not guarantee of a successful software company. That being said, I need a room full of programmers and artists to achieve my complete vision, which is several
simultaneous games in development at any one time, at the highest level of accomplishment--with all that that implies. Singularity FPS is the first step....
The point: this can happen a lot faster with the right partner. If you're interested, and have the resources, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
Best Regards,
Lee Latham

This was my car before I decided I needed to start my own video game company. It's an '02 SS Camaro. Yes, that's a convertable top. Black leather interior. A freaking supercar, drives on rails at 130. |
This is the Austin PD car I bought for $3000 after I decided I needed to start a video game company. It's got vinyl backseats. Mysterious holes in strange places. It does, however, drive like it's on rails at 130. |
